DSF Noelani | |
Noelani means "beautiful girl" in Hawaiian, and she is
certainly that. Coming from a strong line of consistent genetics and
award-winners, Lani is a full sister to the Champion rose grey, McGinnis,
who sired a 2004 National Champion and a 2005 Futurity Champion. Noelani
inherits Augusto and Hemingway genetics from her dam, and her sire is a
rose grey son of Peruvian King. Lani has soft, fine, crimpy maroon fiber and strong potential to
produce quality grey/black offspring. Her first cria wass the rose grey
Lennox from a breeding to silver grey, and she is a wonderful mother. Lani
was bred with our 3X Champion dark silver grey PV
Nikos in Spring 2008.
Awards: Lani was shown once in full fleece halter at the 2006 Buckeye show, placing fourth, but she was by far the youngest in the class, being only 2 weeks over the age limit to show as a yearling.

In the Fall of 2006, Lani was bred with Whistler's Glen Alpacas's excellent silver grey male, Apocalypse, a son of Accoyo Pluro Ross and a grandson of Legacy of Bolivia. Among his many awards, Apocalypse won first in full fleece halter at the 2006 AOBA Nationals under Jude Anderson, second at MaPaca 2005 under Julio Sumar, second at MaPaca 2006 under Wade Gease, second at the 2006 Kentucky Classic under Mike Safley and first place and Reserve Champion at the 2006 Maryland Alpaca Show under Sharon Loner. Apocalypse displays excellent density, staple and coverage, with a high frequency well-defined crimp and soft handle. Lani produced a rose grey son from this breeding in the Fall of 2007, and has already proven herself to be a wonderful first-time mother. | Lani's 2007 rose grey son, Lennox, at less than 24 hours old! |
