Thistledown's Sterling Lennox
This beautiful rose grey male is our first cria of the Fall 2007 season, born in late October. His sire is the Champion silver grey Sterling Apocalypse, and his dam is Noelani, a maroon full sister to the Champion rose grey McGinnis, who sired both the 2004 AOBA National Champion grey female and the 2005 Futurity Champion grey female. The second female later sold at auction for $80,000. The name Lennox is a Scottish place name and aristocratic Scottish surname, so seemed well suited to this promising rose grey male. Lennox has dense, crimpy, fine, soft rose grey fiber and is very full of himself!

Awards: Too young to show until 2008. Not for sale!

Noelani
Lennox is a son of Noelani, full sister to the Champion rose grey, McGinnis, who sired a 2004 National Champion and a 2005 Futurity Champion. She has soft, fine, crimpy maroon fiber and inherits Augusto and Hemingway genetics from her dam, and her sire is a rose grey son of Peruvian King.

Lani's awards: Lani was shown once in full fleece halter at the 2006 Buckeye show, placing fourth, but she was by far the youngest in the class, being only 2 weeks over the age limit to show as a yearling.

Sterling Apocalypse

Lennox was sired by the Champion silver grey Sterling Apocalypse, a son of Accoyo Pluro Ross and a grandson of Legacy of Bolivia. Apocalypse displays excellent density, staple and coverage, with a high frequency well-defined crimp, soft handle, and barely any spotting in the blanket.
