PC Peruvian Knightrider

The Champion, 2X AOBA National ribbon-winning, full Peruvian, true black PC Peruvian Knightrider was an obvious choice to include on our list of quality, colored herdsires. The son of two true black Peruvian imports, 5Peruvian Black Ice and 6Peruvian Anastasia, Knightrider offers rare black West Coast genetics in a magnificent package!  Knightrider has excellent conformation and beautiful dense, crimpy fiber with great staple length and handle, particularly for a mature black breeding male. He is producing quality black, grey and brown offspring, even out of white and beige dams. Knightrider will be at Thistledown for breedings in Virginia from approximately November 15 - May 15 each year, spending the remainder of his time in Maryland at Susquehanna Farms in Maryland.  Half interest available for sale!

Awards: Knightrider is a multiple ribbon-winner, placing second in full fleece halter at the 2002 AOBA National Conference, second at the 2002 Eastern Alpaca Jubilee, second at the 2002 PAOBA Breeders Showcase and first at the 2002 MI Int. Alpacafest (shorn). The following year he placed first at the 2003 PAOBA Breeders Showcase, third at the 2003 AOBA National Conference, first at the 2003 SE PA Alpaca Show (shorn), and first at the 2003 NY Empire Extravaganza (shorn). In 2004 he rounded off his showring career by winning a blue ribbon and Reserve Color Championship at the Virginia Classic!

Peruvian Knightrider
Knightrider is the perfect choice for those breeders looking to diversify their black genetics, as his sire, 5Peruvian Black Ice, has few offspring on the East Coast. Knightrider is also one of only a handful of solid true black, full Peruvian "double-black" males in the country, with two true black parents. Proven to produce quality color, Knightrider has produced black out of a medium fawn, maroon out of a grey, a dark brown out of a fawn, a fawn out of a fawn and a white with black markings (and wonderful fiber!) out of a white accoyo. And did we mention he is a Champion, true black, full Peruvian out of two true black imports, with rare genetics for the East Coast?!

Some of Knightrider's beautiful colored crias are pictured below - his 2005 crias include a bay black female out of bay black, a rose grey male out of white, a medium rose grey female out of a white-faced black and a dark rose grey male out of black. His beige son out of a white accoyo dam placed second in a class of 12 at the Level 5 Ohio AlpacaFest in November 2005, so Knightrider is producing quality, regardless of color. Knightrider sired a true black daughter out of our full Peruvian, beige, award-winning Bronwen, a daughter of Accoyo Yupanqui (deceased). He is also expecting Fall 2007 crias out of our Champion half Accoyo pinto Caterina, our multiple blue ribbon-winning Aurora and Nola, our 7/8 Peruvian pinto with gorgeous fiber and two black grandparents.
