Jewel
An award-winning full Peruvian, and the only white offspring of 5Peruvian Chinchero, a true black herdsire imported from the Maychapampa herd in Peru, Jewel is no ordinary white alpaca! Her dam, Marcela, produced the famous grey herdsire Silver Dollar, and the well respected fawn herdsire, Show Me the Money. Jewel's pedigree literally sparkles with quality and color. She has full coverage, great density and, according to show judge Mary Reed, "her handle is like butter it's so soft". A fine foundation female with heavy bone, excellent conformation, and a sweet disposition, Jewel recently produced a fawn daughter out of Ppperuvian Accoyo Yupanqui, the number one pick of the 1996 importation, who has produced multiple ribbon winners in a whole rainbow of colors. She is now bred with our award-winning maroon herdsire, Romeo.

Awards: Jewel won a third place in the white halter class at Sante Fe in 2001 (class of 9) and a 5th place out of 8 in the white halter class at TXOLAN. These placings are remarkable for a white out of a true black, competing against alpacas with a pure white heritage.

Romeo
Jewel is the only white out of 40 offspring sired by 5Peruvian Chinchero, a true black herdsire imported from the Maychapampa herd in Peru. Her dam, Marcela, is an outstanding white female who produced the famous grey herdsire Silver Dollar, and the nationally respected fawn herdsire, Show Me the Money.

Jewel's maternal sister, Tierra, won a blue ribbon in the beige halter class at Estes Park in 1999. Tierra's first cria sold for $15,000 at only 2 months of age and went on to take a blue ribbon at the 2003 Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver. Tierra has also produced rose grey when bred to grey, just like their dam, Marcela.

Jewel

Dam, PPeruvian Marcela
Jewel has full coverage, great density and, according to show judge Mary Reed, "her handle is like butter it's so soft". She is a fine foundation female with heavy bone, excellent conformation, perfect teeth and a sweet disposition. In her first year Jewel sheared 6.7lbs of 21.6 micron fiber, and the following year, over 6 lbs of  22.8 micron fiber in only 10 months, with beautiful luster, character and crimp.

Sire, 5Peruvian Chinchero

Daughter, Bronwen
In November 2003, Jewel delighted us by producing a light fawn daughter sired by Accoyo Yupanqui. Bronwen is very unusual, with dark eyes and toenails, a white face, fawn blanket and fawn markings on her nose, head and ears. The skin on the back of her neck is black, so this little half accoyo girl is simply full of color!

Jewel is now bred with our award-winning maroon herdsire, Romeo, in the hope of producing a colored cria with superior fiber. Romeo currently has two offspring on the ground - one maroon, one true black, both award-winners!
