We do not retail imported alpaca products, many of which are legally labelled 100% alpaca in South America, even though they may only contain 51% alpaca fiber. We guarantee you that our alpaca yarn is 100% genuine, hypoallergenic alpaca fiber, and can usually tell you which of our alpacas produced it! This yarn is made from two annual shearings of our dark brown and white MAPACA fleece Champion, Nola. This is a pinto mix yarn, which means many of the skeins vary in coloration, for unique visual effects in the finished piece. Not much of this one left either!

This is a heavier weight yarn than the others listed above, with 3 oz per skein rather than 2 oz. The color is darker and less "orange brown" than this photo suggests, because the sheen from this yarn reflects the light and makes it difficult to photograph the true color.
